Dr. Amber Ly, DVM
Veterinarian / Owner
For as long as I can remember I have always loved animals. I don’t think there has ever been a time when I walked past a dog or cat without smiling at them. In university, I was fortunate to combine my love for animals with my interest in science. I graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM) from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Over the years, I have accumulated experience in shelter medicine, private practice, emergency medicine, and animal welfare.
Being a veterinarian is a rewarding career. My favourite aspect of veterinary medicine is the ability to bond, connect, and form long-lasting relationships with clients and their pets. These are the moments I treasure the most. My approach to each appointment is simple. I treat every single patient as I would my own pet, with kindness, compassion, and respect while providing the highest quality of care.
I am a busy mom of two daughters, Aubree and Rilee, and a foster fail rescue dog, Robbie. We enjoy going to the dog park and walks around the neighbourhood. I have a slight addiction to travel, enjoy wine, and a good audio book or TV series.
